Home grilling - The digital way

I have been working toward the goal of cooking more meals at home. Meal planning has become key for that. I am rather proud of myself for planning two weeks of menus and then shopping accordingly and for the most part I was able to stick to the plan.

Crock pot meals are a favorite with me and I have put it to great use. My family seems fond of walking in the door to the house smelling like whatever goodness is coming from the big appliance on the counter.

One appliance that got added to my counter over the holidays was the Opti-Grill by T-Fal. I have found it to be a great addition. I am not much into the latest, greatest, kitchen fad but the options with this grill make it a keeper.

It's steak cooking abilities probably top the best features. I like my steak medium rare while my husband prefers a well done. My daughter is more of a medium well gal. The Opti-Grill has not let us down yet on having the perfect doneness. It also keeps the steaks very tender. Burgers are great on the Opti-Grill. My daughter did some sandwiches that turned out nicely.

I love that you can use the frozen chicken breasts straight from the freezer to the grill and it keeps the guess work out of the cooking time. We have used it for pork chops and fish and been pleased. I noticed the price of these seems to be coming down some since Christmas. My husband picked our up at Kohls on sale. Amazon currently has them for less than he paid.
